The Mid-Atlantic Union of Vietnamese Student Associations is proud to present the 7th Annual MAUVSA Advance Conference (MACVII) at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia.
The MAUVSA Advance Conference seeks to bring together over 300 young professionals from Vietnamese-American communities around the Mid-Atlantic region and neighboring regions for the purpose of empowering these individuals with the right tools to become successful leaders in society.
This year’s conference theme is “The Turning Point.” Defined as “times at which a decisive change in a situation occurs, especially one with beneficial results,” turning points are moments that we remember the most and what we accredit our individualities to. Throughout conference, we hope that attendees reflect on the turning point(s) in their lives and feel inspired to take the necessary steps to make an impactful change for themselves, their VSA’s, and their community.
This three-day conference is packed with engaging keynote speakers, popular entertainment, and invaluable networking opportunities. In addition, a series of insightful workshops will be offered to attendees. Many workshops offered during past conferences include exploration of leadership styles, entrepreneurship, project management, and cultural identity. Early registration begins December 3, 2017 at 12:00 PM EST and closes on December 9, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST or until all Early Registration spots are filled.
