Event Details: In celebration of Earth Day and participation with the Alice Ferguson Foundation’s Potomac River Cleanup, the City’s Stormwater Management Division will be hosting a cleanup along the Windmill Hill Park living shoreline (501 S Union St, Alexandria, VA 22314).

Get ready to join the excitement as the City of Alexandria kicks off its 275th Anniversary celebration! Mayor Justin Wilson will lead the festivities with an official proclamation and a performance from the City of Alexandria Pipes and Drums. Visitors can also explore historical exhibits, enjoy music from the Community Little Big Band, and attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the “Buried Ships of Robinson Landing” exhibit. Additionally, join Mayor Wilson and City Council at Windmill Hill Park for the dedication of the first of 275 trees to be planted across the city.
The kick-off event will be held at various locations along the City’s waterfront park.
