“Shop small” on Black Friday in the region’s biggest destination for independent boutiques – Alexandria, Virginia. The city is rolling out the red carpet for shoppers on Friday, November 27, 2015 with free parking at parking meters, early and extended hours, and discounts at dozens of your favorite locally-owned stores. The Free King Street Trolley will be operating at 6 a.m. on Black Friday so you can get more bargains all over Old Town.

Begin shopping as early as 6 a.m. and warm up with a hot beverage and breakfast from an Old Town’s café.
Make your shopping day complete with a lunch or dinner reservation.
At 6 p.m., enjoy the glow of holiday lights at the City of Alexandria’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Market Square. This free event will delight the entire family with musical entertainment and greetings from Santa.
