Event Location: 1 Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA
Description: Gen. Mark A. Welsh III, the Air Force Chief of Staff, will lay a wreath to honor Air Force POWs of the Vietnam War. The date selected is the 50th anniversary of the shootdown of 1Lt. Hayden Lockhart, who became the first Air Force pilot POW of the Vietnam War. NOTE FOR ITEM 8: We are submitting a request for the Director of the Vietnam War Commemoration or his representative to say a few words about the Commemoration Program–only 3-5 minutes.
