MCLEAN, VA (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 06, 2016

Northern Virginia Pride (NOVA Pride) invites the entire community to come out and celebrate that regardless of who or how you love, or how you identify, “Love is Love,”– the theme for this year’s third annual Northern Virginia Pride Festival. The festival will be held at Bull Run Special Events Center on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 12-9pm.

NOVA Pride believes the theme is especially important this year, explains Sarah Lakey, NOVA Pride Chief Marketing Officer. Lakey said, “In the wake of Orlando’s Pulse shooting – an event that affected our community at its core – we hope that our festival’s theme will reinforce the innate existence of love in every single person. Love is the most basic, innocent and pure emotion; everything else is learned. We are excited to put together an event that reminds everyone that love is here, in our community, ready to be embraced. It is accessible every day with your neighbors, and the businesses represented here, and beyond.”

This year, you will join an estimated 5,000-10,000 LGBTQ+ individuals and straight Allies for a day of love with pro-equality vendors, food trucks from the DMV, and live entertainment. This event is family-friendly, features all your favorite field games, PAW for PRIDE off-leash dog park, a loving and safe space for our four-legged friends presented by Unleashed by Petco, FREE parking, and complimentary shuttles from Vienna Metro all day. The Northern Virginia Pride Festival is a celebration of diversity, inclusion and equality for all.
