The holiday season is upon us. Whether you’re looking for the perfect Hanukah present for Grandma, trying to decide what to get your boyfriend for Christmas or picking out a white elephant gift for the office holiday party, you want something unique and thoughtful.
Instead of subjecting yourself to shopping-mall stress or the efficient but unsatisfying experience of online shopping, why not try the Rosslyn Holiday Market? You’ll feel good knowing you bought your gifts from local, small-business owners, and you’re sure to find items that are distinctive and special.
This year, the market will be at Gateway Park for the first time. Decorated with festive holiday lighting, the park will be an outdoor winter wonderland for you to enjoy with your family and friends. Peruse the pop-up shops of local vendors. Time your visit over the two-day festival on December 10 and 11 to take advantage of your favorite activities. Here is the schedule:
Market: Thursday, December 10, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Enjoy a live jazz performance. Purchase lunch from popular local food truck, Killer Tomato Pizza, and sample world cuisine from one of Rosslyn’s favorite restaurants, Bistro 360.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Burn some holiday calories at our free Pop-Up Bootcamp, led by personal trainer Victor Carcamo! The first 45 registrants will receive a free water bottle! Register here.
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. More chances to taste the great cuisine of Rosslyn’s Bistro 360.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Reading Connection hosts a Children’s Storytime that will be sure to captivate young listeners!
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Bring your children (and pets!) for free photos with Santa, as well as winter-themed crafts and games.

Holiday Clothing Drive
In conjunction with the holiday market, the Rosslyn BID is conducting an annual holiday clothing drive. Donate new or gently used winter coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, hats, gloves and jeans for clients of A-SPAN (Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network). Look for a gift-wrapped donation box in the lobby of your building, or bring your donation to the holiday market. The clothing drive ends on the last day of the market, December 11.

This year’s holiday market will take place at Gateway Park, 1300 Lee Hwy. The park is a short walk from the Rosslyn Metro station. It is approximately a 15-minute walk across the Key Bridge from Georgetown.
