After the recent completion of a multi-million dollar renovation, the staff at The Westin Arlington Gateway, just outside of Washington, DC, say thank you to guests with specials in the award winning restaurant, Pinzimini Restaurant & Lounge. “We are very proud of our guest appreciation program called ‘Socialize at Sunset’ that we have just rolled out for our guests,” said Michael Broadhurst, hotel general manager. Each week, different food and beverage pairings are offered. Local craft beers, local wines, and unique cocktails are featured at special pricing and coupled with complimentary food pairings, showcasing the Westin SuperFoods program as well as local culinary delights by Chef Bobbie Miller. Socialize at Sunset is held every Tuesday from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm and is open to anyone that is a member of the Starwood Preferred Guest program.
“We wanted to give our guests a chance to unwind after a long day of work,” said Broadhurst. “In these busy times, we feel it’s a good idea to give our guests a chance to slow down, relax and rejuvenate. Also, we wanted the chance to connect with our guests one on one.” The program includes food items from the new Pinzimini Restaurant menu allowing guests to sample various specialties of the house before continuing on with their evening.
Some hotels offer manager receptions for their business travelers staying with them. The Westin Arlington Gateway expanded the program to include members of the local community who participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest program. “With so many businesses steps from our door, we felt it would be the right thing to do to extend an invitation to loyal Westin and Starwood guests, even if they do not customarily stay with us at the Westin Arlington Gateway,” said Broadhurst.
The Starwood Preferred Guest program is free to join.
