Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia, the senior enlisted advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC), and the Service Senior Enlisted Advisors for the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard celebrate 2015 Armed Forces Day at Arlington National Cemetery in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier May 16 at 10 a.m. A concert in the Amphitheater will immediately follow the wreath-laying ceremony featuring patriot selections by one of our premier military bands in the Military District of Washington area. We encourage patrons to join us for the 30-minute performance and photos with the senior enlisted advisors at the conclusion of the concert.
The following senior enlisted leaders are scheduled to participate in the day’s festivities: Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel Dailey; Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Ronald Green; Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Michael Stevens; Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Cody; Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Steven Cantrell.
Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. Armed Forces Week begins on the second Saturday of May and ends on the third Sunday of May.
On this day, our most-senior enlisted leaders in our Armed Forces celebrate the millions of America’s sons and daughters, past and present, who embrace and reflect courage, honor, strength, duty dedication and excellence.
