Holiday Sharing Program Seeks Donors
Help make the holidays a little brighter for those in need through the City’s Holiday Sharing Program! Sponsors are needed to donate clothing, gift certificates and toys.

When the first leaf falls, it is time to think about Holiday Sharing. The holiday season is a joyous occasion filled with excitement and anticipation. For many though, the holidays are a very stressful time of year due to financial hardship. There is a tremendous need in our community to help those less fortunate.
Join Holiday Sharing, and reach out to the neediest in our community by sponsoring a family, senior citizen or disabled individual, foster child or foster teen, and participate in the Alexandria Community Toy Drive. You can help with your TIME by volunteering or with your RESOURCES by sponsoring and donating gifts.
Because many families will sign up for your help, the focus is primarily on family requests for necessities for children and a few toys. This will allow more donors to contribute desperately needed grocery store gift cards and clothing. The hope is, if you are able, that you will increase the number of families and seniors that you sponsor. There may also be one major or family gift requested that the whole family can enjoy. If you can fulfill that wish, it would be a wonderful bonus for the family.
It is strongly encouraged that you use the Holiday Sharing websites to sign up for your desired activities. Sign up for a sponsorship OR sign up to volunteer (Enter “Holiday Sharing” in the search box).
Monetary donations can be made online by credit card (American Express, VISA, Mastercard, Discover) .
Make donation checks, payable to The Fund for Alexandria’s Child, or to the DCHS Senior Fund, should then be mailed to:
