WHAT: Arlington National Cemetery Medal of Honor History Tour

WHEN: Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM

WHERE: Arlington National Cemetery 1 Memorial Drive, Arlington, VA 22211

Arlington National Cemetery continues its free, guided history tours with a Medal of Honor History tour scheduled for Saturday, March 25, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center.

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. This special tour commemorates National Medal of Honor Day and will focus on some of the more than 400 Medal of Honor recipients buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Arlington National Cemetery Historian Tim Frank will also focus on some of the World War I recipients in honor of the Centennial Anniversary of the U.S. entry into the Great War.

The tour begins in the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center and those who wish to stay, will be able to attend the Army Full Honors Wreath-Laying Ceremony in honor of National Medal of Honor Day at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The tour is free and open to the public. Registration is requested.
