College Choice Releases 2017 Ranking of the Most Affordable Online Bachelor’s in Nursing Degrees
EUGENE, Ore., Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources, has published a ranking of the 20 Most Affordable Online Bachelor’s in Nursing Degrees for 2017:
Demand for highly qualified nurses has been growing due to both demographic realities like an aging population, as well as the changing role of nurses themselves.
This demand has led to a huge increase in the number of Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs available, many delivered exclusively online.
“The job outlook for nursing professionals is outstanding, with an expected growth rate of 17 percent,” Christian Amondson, Managing Editor of College Choice, said of the ranking. “Registered nurses who have a BSN make, on average, over $67,000 per year.”
College Choice developed its list by looking at per credit tuition for online BSN programs, and determining which are the most affordable for students.
